Our Motto
The motto of our organization is to preserve, revive and revitalize the glorious Indian Handicraft.

Our Founder
Sumit Baradia is a recognized Artisan by the Office of Development Commissioner -Handicrafts (Ministry of Textiles). He is the Principal Designer at “The Indian Handicraft”. After graduating in Interior Design from the Ex-in, Kolkata , India, he worked with various firms as a Consultant Designer. In 2004 decided to establish an Interior Designing firm “The Indesign”, providing design solutions to Corporates, Individual Clients and Non-Government Organizations. Sumit initiated a wooden furniture manufacturing enterprise training and providing employment to local youth. The enterprise continues to manufacture wooden furniture. In 2009, concerned about the lack of employment avenues for national artisans from disadvantaged backgrounds, Sumit established “The Indian Handicraft”. Apart from leading design at “The Indesign” and “The Indian Handicraft”, Sumit also is working on setting-up a non-government organization to mentor the local youngsters!.
